Hawk Measurement Systems Pty Ltd (Hawk) was established in 1988 following the recognition by directors of the potential of ultrasonics and the application to level and flow process equipment. The company developed its own product range through its research and development program. The product range consists of the range master series, microwave level controls, loop power controls, flowmaster admittance switches, sludge level systems, portable sludge meters and submersible pressure instruments

The SULTAN 234 emits a high powered acoustic wave transmit pulse which is reflected from the surface of the material being measured. The reflected signal is processed using specially developed software to enhance the correct signal and reject false or spurious echoes. The transmission of these high powered waves ensures minimal losses through the environment where the sensor is located. Due to this high powered emitted pulse, any losses have a far less effect than traditional ultrasonic devices. More energy is transmitted hence more energy is returned. The receiver circuitry is designed to indentify and monitor low level return signals even when noise levels are quite high. The measured signal is temperature compensated to provide maximum accuracy to the outputs and display.

   
The ORCA series Sonar will measure up to two density interfaces simultaneously, either bed level or RAS blanket and floc/fluff layer or clarity of water, using the new ORCA Sonar hardware.
   
Any application where microwave energy is absorbed by the material being monitored, including replacement of traditional contact switching devices used in mining, sand and gravel quarries, cement plants, pulp paper, plastic, rubber, coal fired power plants, steel mills, aluminium smelters, food, pharmaceuticals and other manufacturing fields.
